Member?

The moods got moved to the left side and now I have a picture saying "Member" under my penguin name. Is it supposed to be like that and what is that supposed to be? :Xsmiley:

It's actually a rank system which I'm testing out here before applying something like this to all the other forums. Feel free to comment as I'd like to see user's reactions on this before going to the trouble of putting this on all the forums.

They are OK. There are many members, so they'd be too common, and people may rave about new ratings and things. Other then that, there good.

EDIT: I just got another idea!
You could do it like if that user had...say, 1 post, they would be a "Member", if they had 100 posts they would be a "Super Member" and if the had say, 500 posts they would be a "Old Timer". How's that?

We've implimented these new rank images. They are based off usegroups. So a mod will have a moderator image listed on their posts. Most people will have Penguin image on their posts. This is to help identify our mod staff from other users. Also help identify users with the different colored names such as trivia and arcade winners. This should help a lot with the confusion that has been going on with this.

You can have a second image:
Just go to your userCP (http://www.clubpenguinfansite.com/forums/usercp.php) and click on Group Memberships (http://www.clubpenguinfansite.com/forums/profile.php?do=editusergroups) and click which group you are apart of to be displayed. Then that image will now show up on your posts as well as your Penguin image.

So someone that clicks on ranter will have Penguin image and a Ranter image beside it to go on their posts.

I see you copied and pasted this off of TTC lol. The Group membership link takes you to the TTC Group membership page and the UserCP link takes you to the TTC UserCP. Also, are you going to add more User groups or is there going to be Ranter and Member only?

So far, we haven't seen much need to add additional usergroups. I'm sure as the site grows and evolves that we will be adding more. TTC has tons of different usergroups, but it has been around for several years. This is still a fairly new site and needs time to grow and build membership. I'm always willing to listen to suggestions, but please think them through before present them to me. I'd love to help improve the site and make it more enjoyable for everyone. I'm going to only use good thought out suggestions though.
