Ok, I might enter this in the next bookroom writing contest for CP, but it will be shorter. I got this idea when I went skating for the first time EVER. Hope you enjoy.
P.S. I'm a lot more better at skating now!
Chapter 1

It was thursday morning. I yawned, and headed toward the door to my igloo to get the Penguin Times. As I read it, the headline was "Great Ice Race Next Friday!" I waddled as fast as I could to a booth in the Plaza, with a sign that read "Race Sign Ups". I got a form, wrote on the paper my name, address, umm... type of skates? I didn't really have any skates. I went to the Gift Shop. "Can I buy a pair of skates?" I asked so quickly that it sounded more like "CanIbuyapairofskates?" The owner blinked and said "Talk slower." I said it again, and his reply was "Sorry, sold out. Come again when we have more." When?" I asked. "A year," he replied. "BUT I NEED SOME NOW!" I shouted into his face. He ducked under his desk, and looked for a pair of skates. "Lucky you, it's the last pair," he said as he came back up with skates. "WOO HOO!" I yelled as I ran around in circles. The owner tapped my shoulder. I stopped running. He handed me the skates, and pushed me out of the shop. I landed with a large thump! I examined the skates. They were speed skates. Perfect! I ran towards the booth where I left my form, and I wrote down my skate type. I handed the penguin at the booth the form, and placed it under the booth. He asked for my skates. I gave them to him and went back to my igloo.
Chapter 2
The Skating Master
There was one more day till the race. I was out practicing. Then, a penguin in a black cloak came toward the ice rink. He was surrounded by a crowd. "All hail the skate master," he said as he went on the track that was sculpted just for the race. "Hey, you aren't allowed on that!" I told him. "I'm the skate master. I can do anything," he said. He continued to skate. I followed. He looked back and skated faster. I skated faster. Then, we approached a sharp turn. He turned without falling off. I did my best to do it. I made it! When I was proud of myself, I skate at an amazing speed! I passed him. I screeched to a stop at the rink and hit the side. I was knocked out for a moment. I woke up later and found him staring at me. "I was only warming up," he said, and waddled away.
