Chapter 1
Beginning a Story
Each story has a unique plot. First, think up a plot for your story. It could be about 2 penguins that wander off into the wilderness and try to find their way back. Or maybe it's about a group of penguins who sail with Rockhopper and he sends them back to Club Penguin. There is all sorts of ideas you can think of! When you have thought of a plot for your story, open Notepad on your computer. Write down what the story will be like. When you are done, write it in the Stories Forum or do anything else with it!
Chapter 2
Making a Story
Each story wants to start out with a good beginning! For example, it could talk about the characters. Or you can start it out without introducing the characters, and introduce them later. Lets say I made a story about penguins who are locked into a movie theater. I would start it out "There we were, standing at the frightening scenes in the new movie." Characters can be narrators! You will need to add paragraphs. Here's an example :
Blah blah blah blah. Blah. Blah blah. Blah blah Blah.
Blah blah blah...
Just push ENTER on your keyboard an there will be a new paragraph! Some stories might include two plots. Then the plots collide and both problems are solved! Lets say there was a story about a penguin who got lost in the wilderness and one in a building. The one outside would find a secret door into the building and they would both be back in Town!
Chapter 3
Chapters
To save secrets from being revealed in the story, people put chapters. Then later, they make another chapter. Chapters begin with calm stuff, while the ends contain surprising stuff! It makes the story a lot more exciting! Lets say a penguin was trapped inside a temple, where a giant boulder was getting closer and he was at a dead end. Then, the next chapter would include a strong penguin who heard is cry and broke the temple walls to get him out.
Chapter 4
Poems, Writing, and Songs
Poems, writing and songs can easily be included in your story using Italic Text. For example, Isadora from A Series of Unfortunate Events liked to make poems and wrote them down in her black notebook. The oompa loompas would sing after something weird happened to a kid in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Writing is included in all sorts of books.
Dear Tom,
I left some snacks on the counter in case you wanted some while your granny was over,
Mom.
I made that! And my name is not Tom!
There is all sorts of things you can place! But your poem, writing, or song should look like this :
Dear Tom,
I left some snacks on the counter in case you wanted some while your granny was over,
Mom.
It should be in the center of the post and there must be a small space in between the poem, song, or writing and the main text.
Chapter 5
End it with a Bang!
A good story should end with a bang! If you know there will be a sequel to the story, do something like "and he got lost at sea. Some penguins think he would swim back." That is about a penguin who gets lost at sea and returns to Club Penguin in the sequel. If there might not be a sequel, or if the sequel doesn't relate to the original, then put "and they got rich and were living in a deluxe igloo, just like in his dream." That might be about a penguin who gets rich and buys a deluxe igloo, and maybe if there was a sequel he would ose his money and regain it.
Chapter 6
Creating SequelsExtra
This is an extra. This is optional. A sequel needs to have the same main characters as the original, and there has to be a different problem. Or, sometimes a problem is never finished in the original and is finished in the next. Or the one after that. A good amount of sequels is about 2-10. With a series of books, it should be 10-30.
