Server Slowdown

On CP, I've noticed a lot of penguins are having server slowdowns (same country as me) when I'm not also. A friend of mine was at the cove, and he asked everyone that is slowing down to leave. Everyone left. Some say I have a supercomputer network. (although they're only Windows XP's and HP Pavillion) Does anyone know the exact cause of the slowdown, and why I never suffered it?

Perhaps your connection to the servers were stronger because your internet connection was better.

I have a very bad connection in fact. The ones that lagged all had a better connection. (in fact my connection shuts down every hour and a half) Or maybe it was like the Minn. collapse, when one user triggered it all. A friend told me once that if you go on Sleet, every server would crash. (its might be true, but I don't think so)

I only have one. (2 on my entire network) One for me one for my sister.

It's called a server lag, they usually happen during weekends or partys. They occur when The CP Staff is updating something, there is server maintence, or a lot of people online at the same time.

Actually(if you've paid more attention when reading) the creater specificly specified it was partially that, but they fixed it, but the problems still went on.
