Confused about the rooms around CP? Well I made I guide to help. Please note that I may edit and change info here, and I will notify if possible. Lets begin with the center, expanding outward.
Town-Nightclub-Lounge-Coffee Shop-Book Room-Gift Shop-Loft
The Town is the start point of many new penguins. Remmeber to say Hi to them! Now, as you may start any place, not many new penguins go there, but they still could. If you are one of the lucky (around 40-50) penguins chosen to recieve a yellow puffle, click Ok, not cancel. Starting with the nightclub, you can hang around here and chat and dance. Upstairs, you can lounge with friends and play some games (Thin Ice and Astro Barrier) The 1st floor is often decorated for parties. Moving on to the Coffee Shop, this is the oldest room on the island. You can hang out and play Beans. Upstairs is the Book Room. Read a book, or lay a game of Manacala (read how to play first!)In the book of Rockhopper and the Stowaway, turn to the last page and click on the bracelet. You'll get your own! The gift shop is a place to (maybe) hangout and buy clothes and backgrounds and colors. Some people say there is a loft you can (somehow) get up to. It defies physics, however, as in the mission, you dont see it. Like its there but it isnt but it is in a chronological order of time.
The Plaza-Pizza Parlor-Pet Shop
The Plaza is one of the most popular places next to the Town. You can sometimes find free items here (like the water wings and sailor hats) and go into the Parlor to hangout, eat, or play Pizzaraton 3000 (an invention of G's) Then go to the pet shop, adopt a puffle, or play Puffle Roundup. Once you adopt a puffle, go back home, and take care of it well! (or else) You may read the Puffle Care Manual and learn how to care for your pets. Happy petkeeping!
Ice Rink-Water Rink
The Ice Rink is a place to play a game of ice hockey or hang out. Sometimes (like during the water party)it is a water rink. (then its called water hockey) A long time ago, you could get face paint and signs in support of Team Blue or Red. Some penguins still have them!
Snow Forts-Clock Tower
The snow forts are the perfect place to have a snowball fight! This is often decorated for a match on the water/ice rink with Blue and Red. The snowball-powered clock-tower can be set for your friends for an appointment. Throw snow balls to power the clock at the bullseye.
Dock-Boats
The Dock is yet another place to chat. Play Ballistic Biscuit and rack up a record. Sometimes there are HUGE decorations here during parties (like the giant fountain and the snow castle)
Forest-Pot of Gold
The forest, a place discovered by 2 penguins lost in a jet pack flight. You may hang out here, and if you are lucky, you may find a leprechaun (just any old penguin in green) that comes out only once a year and gives the first penguin to befriend him/her 5,000 coins.
Member Igloos
Member Igloos are just igloos anyone can go to on the map. You can visit them, get ideas for your own igloo, or hang out.
Beach-Lighthouse-Stage-Beacon
This is yet another place to hang out. If Rockhopper visits, you can see his ship and visit. Buddy him and youll get a gift. Down below deck is the hold. You can get items there and if he does open his private quarters, you may visit it. In the lighthouse are a lot of keepsakes and portraits. One is Bandabee, the stowaway in the book I mentioned earlier, and there's a map, which (used to) be part of a glitch to walk on the walls. Before this place was deserted. Then a group of penguins refurnished the place and now penguins are showing off musical talent on the stage. Upstairs you can look at the telescope and maybe even find something. You can fly a Jet Pack and earn coins. Just dont run out of fuel!
Iceberg
This is one of the best places to hang out. This is well decorated for parties. Soome penguins could try tipping the berg or just having fun. (tipping it isnt possible though. Its not supposed to) If you are an agent, you may have luck catching bad penguins trying to tip the berg.
Ski Village-Lodge-Attic-Snow Shop-Mountain
The Ski Village can be a regular hangout, or a compititive area.You can play Find Four or hang in the ski lodge, and spot Fred the cuckoo bird pop out. The Snow Shop sells the same things as the Gift Shop now, and has a secret entrance to the Agent HQ there. On the mountain, you can sled race on 4 different slopes.
Dojo
This is another good hangout. You never know what the place may hold.
Underground System-Mine-Cave-Pool-Boiler Room
The Underground can be reach by the cave tunnel, Plaza manhole, or the speaker in the nightclub. The Boiler Room is the place that provides heat for Club Penguin. You can find old news papers there and read them. The pool is another hangout. Swim in there and look out-no lifeguard. The Cave holds Cart Surfer, where you go through a track and do stunts. Above is the Mine Shack. No one knows who built it.
Cove
The Cove was discovered by the same 2 penguins that discovered the Forest. Penguiins build a stairway down to the cove. This is one of the most popular places here. Hangout, or surf. You can look through the binoculars on the lifeguard chair.
Sky Dome
This place is no longer here, but a friend told me there was a such place.
Icicle Caverns
This no longer exists either (removed Sept. 2005) but it used to hold a game (also named Catchin' Waves) where you were a fish and had to flee CP. It is no longer here due to a number of complaints of crashing and lag.
Rockhopper Island
A place found by Rockhopper on his travels, he stores his things there and found his puffle Yarr there on the bay on a raft. You cnat go there, but the island is waiting for Rockhopper to come back and find treasure.
