ATTENTION all Club Penguin Fansite Members!!

Remember - keep an eye on this thread for further information ;)

It seems a bit of a reminder about some of our policies is in order here.

All members are required to comply with all site rules (http://www.disneysonlineworlds.com/index.php/Policies_and_Disclaimers).

Please also be aware of what image hosting sites are approved. I am seeing a lot of broken links lately. Please either rehost your images or face the removal of your threads/posts. Approved Hosting Sites (http://www.clubpenguinfansite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=786).

I need to remind everyone that the rules apply everywhere - posts, signatures, user titles etc. Please remember that if we see something that violates our policies it will be edited and/or otherwise removed. Given the number of violations I have been seeing, be prepared for posts/threads/signatures/user titles to be changed seemingly without warning. Consider this thread fair warning.

I ask that everyone pay particular attention to the following subjects:

Signature Lengths (http://www.disneysonlineworlds.com/index.php/Policies_and_Disclaimers#Signature_Lengths)
Personal Information (http://www.disneysonlineworlds.com/index.php/Policies_and_Disclaimers#Personal_Information)
Inappropriate/Non G-Rated Discussions (http://www.disneysonlineworlds.com/index.php/Policies_and_Disclaimers#Inappropriate.2FNon_G-Rated_Discussions)
Advertising (http://www.disneysonlineworlds.com/index.php/Policies_and_Disclaimers#Advertising)
Off-Topic/Nonsense Posts (http://www.disneysonlineworlds.com/index.php/Policies_and_Disclaimers#Off-Topic.2FNonsense_Posts)
Spamming (http://www.disneysonlineworlds.com/index.php/Policies_and_Disclaimers#Spamming)

Remember: Signatures must not exceed the size of this blue block - this includes all image and text.

If you have any questions about the rules, or something is unclear you can always contact myself or any member of the Club Penguin Fansite staff. Just please be patient when waiting for a reply - remember, we're only human ;)

Did you know we have a Club Penguin Fansite chat channel? If you go to the Club Penguin Fansite home page (http://www.clubpenguinfansite.com/) and look near the top right corner there is a box that says "Live CPF Chat". Simply enter your forum name in the box and click the "Enter Live Chat" button.

It is always a good idea to familiarize yourself with the chat rules (http://www.disneysonlineworlds.com/index.php/Live_Chat/IRC_Guidehttp://) first.

Yes VMK stands for Virtual Magic Kingdom, which sadly closed for good last month. One of our sister sites VMKForums.com (http://www.vmkforums.com/) is dedicated to VMK. Another great place to learn about VMK or any of the games we have sites for is our DisneysOnlineWorlds (http://www.disneysonlineworlds.com/) wiki.

As for the chat, there are times when nobody is around and times when lots of people are around. The best thing I can suggest is to poke your head in now and then, and just be patient until someone comes 'round. Right now #clubpenguinforums is one of our quieter channels, sometimes we get busy on our more active channels. When you load chat, feel free to poke around our different channels, you might find more people in another. There will be several buttons across the bottom of the screen. Click any of those to see another channel, and just jump right in with a cheery "Hello!" :)

I'd like to take this opportunity to highlight our rules section on Spamming (http://www.disneyonlineworlds.com/index.php/Policies_and_Disclaimers#Spamming):
Spamming (http://www.disneyonlineworlds.com/index.php/Policies_and_Disclaimers#Spamming) "Spam" refers to posting identical and/or irrelevant messages to one thread or many different threads that have nothing to do with the intended subject, or posts that disrupt a thread or fill the message board with clutter. Mass PMing people you don't know or who haven't invited you to PM them, posting for the sole purpose of boosting your post count, threads with the sole purpose of posting "what I did today..." (this is a forum, not a blog or chatroom), excessive bumping of threads (you are allowed one bump per thread twenty-four (24) hours after the last post created in the thread!), one or two letter replies (i.e. ok, LOL, Yes, agreed, nods), and excessive use of smileys as a response are all considered "spam".
This applies to all forums, threads, posts, private messages, userpages, profiles, avatars and signatures.

Now is your chance to rehost all your wonderful pictures! Just browse through the Approved Hosting Sites (http://www.clubpenguinfansite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=786) thread and find out where you can host your pictures so that you can then share them with us here at Club Penguin Fansite.

Just remember that these sites are subject to change as their content necessitates. Have you checked out the Gallery (http://www.clubpenguinfansite.com/gallery/) here on Club Penguin Fansite? You can be sure that it won't be ever be blocked! :)

Signature Lengths (http://www.disneyonlineworlds.com/index.php/Policies_and_Disclaimers#Signature_Lengths)

Users should be considerate of other users on the forums. Excessive signatures cause the flow of the threads to be disrupted. Signature lengths over 10 text lines will be removed from user's profiles. This also applies to graphics that are larger than 500 x 200 pixels in length and width size. It doesn't matter how big the font size is as long as the total dimensions taken up by the signature text & graphic does not exceed 500 x 200 in pixel length and width.
So the total dimensions of the signature should not exceed this size:
http://www.clubpenguinfansite.com/gallery/data/517/Siglengthexample.jpg
Also, the file size of the signature should not exceed 200KB. We impose this limit as a courtesy for those on dial-up.
I would like to ask that everyone please check your signature size to make sure that it is in compliance with our size requirements. Please note that your entire signature, both text and image (and yes blank lines too), must fit within the size of the blue box.

Right now #clubpenguinfansite is one of our more quiet channels yes. When you join, just have patience - I assure you there is nearly always somebody signed in. Sometimes we don't know someone is there until they say "Hi" or start talking otherwise. Also feel free to jump in on any of our other channels too. You're bound to find someone in at least one of them!! :)

Actually, I almost always find someone to chat with. If you go there and see the name "Gobbles" with no @ symbol, say his name. An alert will go off on his computer telling him somebody wants to talk to him, due to mIRC. He will talk to you anytime, he's on most of the day.

Just yesterday I had a 2 hour conversation with TopazR. I also talked to a few mods named Zilly, Murky, and MelodyMcB that are on quite often. If you say many users' names, their mIRC service will tell them somebody in the channel wants them, but be careful not to annoy them. Some of those users actually have...well... What was that thing? Oh yeah! They called them "Lives".

So, to the contrary, I usually find a nice time in chat.

Don't forget that now you can Report a bad PM (http://www.clubpenguinfansite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1912) also! You use the same method - click the http://www.clubpenguinfansite.com/gallery/data/517/report_post.jpg, fill in the form and there you go! The right side is the list of people who are currently logged into that channel. When you go in try saying "Hi" or "Hello". The Club Penguin Fansite channel is one of our more quiet channels, but there is always someone around. Just be patient and eventually someone else will be there. :)

I would just like to remind everybody once again of this new site feature Batleth announced last month.

These features are in place for anyone to use to report if you feel that something you see may break our rules (http://www.disneyonlineworlds.com/index.php/Policies_and_Disclaimers).

Added a report a bad PM system.

You'll find a reported post icon at the top right of each PM. Click on the icon to report any PMs you feel are violating our policies.
Fill in a reason you are reporting that PM.
A copy of the PM will be sent to the moderation staff to take care of the problem.
This in no way will enable us to read your other PMs. Just the PMs that you report. PMs are named Private Messages for a reason.
