Are you A Spender or A Saver?

Just wondering if anybody spends their coins a lot or saves them.
I'm a saver because I'm not a member anymore so I can't buy stuff and I play a lot of games for fun.

I'd have to say I used to be a spender. Because I didn't usually make a lot of money, and I always just played games when there was a new catalog or something, so I could get the new stuff.

Now, I'm a saver though, since I don't have member ship anymore.

Saver. I'm not a member so I'm on the lookout for free items. :D I have over 25,000 coins. But sometimes I'll spend my coins on backgrounds and colors.

yeppers. it isn't fair that non-members can't buy anything except colors and backgrounds, but after you buy them all then you don't have money to spend on anything but postcards but i never send them.
once i sent a bunch of "aloha" cards to people just to waste my coins

It is fair that you can only buy colors and backgrounds. It goes way back 17,000,000 years ago. Humans were scavengers. But even though they couldn't speak, they could trade. They traded plants for meat mostly. The Indians traded with shells. The pioneers traded with the bartering method. And about 200 years ago we established an economic value for money that is different from it's material value. We use this credit to buy something with a set price. It may be a service, a material object, or a virtual service, Club Penguin membership being of the latter category. To make a long story short, if you want it, you can work for it or you can buy it.

Although I do like Spinmarty's idea of using oh, maybe, 30,000 coins to buy a 10-day membership trial. That could be a good buisness move for Club Penguin. That idea deserves it's own thread.

I usually Maintain just enough to take care of Carl, Blugo, and Usu.(My puffles; their respective colors are yellow, black, and purple.)

I rarely purchase anything, as I am quite content with what I have(In 2006 and early 2007 I would buy everything I could. Even the girl clothes. They come in handy on occasion. Like in my :Agent:UNDERCOVER RESEARCH.

But when an awesome catalog comes out I go get 15,000 coins and have a hayday. I did it this morning, as matter of fact.

I'm a saver becaue I don't have a subscription at the moment, if I get it back I'll become a spender.

True. I think it should be 4000 coins for week membership or something.

But at least the money people pay for for their membership goes to a good cause.
