If he forgets then oh well... the secret won't be alive any longer.

For example: There was a method to making planets by scratch. There was a person who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease... and he was one of the descendents to learn the method! But since he had Alzheimer's disease, he forgot to tell his son or daughter, so then people don't know how to make planets anymore

He did not forget:

He was making a planet and his son just went into the room where he was making a planet. Then his son said, "You are making a PLANET?!?!?! What the?!?!"

Then his father said, "Sure son, wanna learn?"

And all this happened before he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, and son already knows how to make a planet.

Makes sense. Hopefully we'll find a cure for that, and maybe someone will suddenly realize he's a decsendant of that guy that's immune to Alzheimer's and remembers the secret, but his descendants might forget the cure to Alzheimer's and the secret will be lost again!
